Prices

All prices at By Cortsen ApS are in Danish Kroner (DKK) and include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice. Subject to availability.

Payment

By Cortsen accepts payment with Dankort/VISA-Dankort, VISA, Mastercard, MobilePay, and PayPal. Payment is charged at the time of placing the order, and cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the selected date.

By Cortsen uses an approved payment gateway that encrypts all your card information using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means your data cannot be read by others.

Collection and Delivery – Take Away and Snacks

We offer free pickup in Hvidovre or personal delivery across Denmark (limited to areas connected by bridges).

For Take Away orders, delivery costs start from DKK 99. The order will be delivered to the address specified at checkout.

For Snack orders, the delivery method determines the delivery price. If choosing pickup, it must be done at Jernholmen 45M, 2650 Hvidovre, only on Thursdays between 13:00 and 16:00. You will receive an email when your order is ready for collection.

If you order both Take Away and Snacks in the same order, they will be delivered together. If you prefer separate deliveries, please place two separate orders.

We do not deliver outside Denmark, nor to the Faroe Islands or Greenland.

Refunds

For refunds, please provide your bank account details (registration and account number) so the agreed amount can be transferred. This information can be safely shared via email or other electronic means, as it is not considered sensitive and will only be used to process the refund.

Cancellation – Take Away and Snacks

According to Section 17(2) and Section 9(2) of Danish consumer law, food and other household items bought for regular consumption and delivered to the consumer are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

To accommodate customers wishing to cancel or reduce their order, we allow cancellations or reductions up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup date. Please email your order number to contact@bycortsen.com. Your cancellation is not confirmed until we reply to your request, which we aim to do as soon as possible.

Payment for your order is only charged on the execution date — for Take Away, this is the date of delivery; for Snacks, this is the date your order is packed and prepared for shipment.

Cancellation – Private Dining

You may cancel or reduce the number of participants after booking a private dining event, under the following conditions. By Cortsen is entitled to compensation for any part of the service that is not cancelled in time:

  • Cancellation at least 15 calendar days before the event: No charge.

  • Cancellation 7–14 days before the event: 50% of the total amount is charged.

  • Cancellation 4–7 days before the event: 75% of the total amount is charged.

  • Cancellation 0–4 days before the event: 100% of the total amount is charged.

Cancellation – Tailor Made Events

You may cancel or reduce the number of participants after booking a Tailor Made event, under the following terms:

  • Cancellation at least 4 months before the event: No charge.

  • Cancellation 1.5 to 4 months before the event: 40% of the total amount is charged.

  • Cancellation 8 days to 1.5 months before the event: 75% of the total amount is charged.

  • Cancellation 0–7 days before the event: 100% of the total amount is charged.

Cancellation – In-House Events (Test Dinners)

You may cancel or reduce the number of seats for in-house events under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation at least 15 calendar days before the event: No charge.

  • Cancellation 7–14 days before the event: 50% of the total booking price is charged.

  • Cancellation 4–7 days before the event: 75% of the total booking price is charged.

  • Cancellation 0–4 days before the event: 100% of the total booking price is charged.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

Disclaimer

We reserve the right for errors in pricing or product descriptions in brochures and on the website, including errors in price calculations at checkout.

Backorders

If a product is sold out, the customer will be contacted. If we are unable to reach the customer, the sold-out item may be replaced with a similar product at our discretion. This also applies to all special offers, menus, and similar products.

Complaints

If the delivery does not match the invoice or the product does not meet expectations, the customer must notify By Cortsen within 1 hour of receipt to allow us a fair chance to resolve the issue.

Defects and Errors

Any defects must be reported to By Cortsen immediately upon discovery. The customer must describe the issue and demonstrate it if requested.

Product Liability

By Cortsen is liable for product-related claims in accordance with applicable Danish legislation. We assume no additional liability beyond what is required by law. Any product liability beyond what is stated in Danish case law is expressly disclaimed.

Alcohol

According to Danish law, individuals must be at least 18 years old to purchase alcohol with more than 16.5% alcohol content. For alcohol under 16.5%, the minimum age is 16.

We reserve the right to request valid photo identification to confirm age if in doubt.
